Student Life

Students at Harrisburg Christian School find many places to belong among other students who share the same interests and hobbies. Our variety of student organizations and extracurricular activities help to promote community and challenge students to try new things.

Costa Rica Senior Missions Trip

Students from the Senior Class travel to Costa Rica each spring for a Mission Trip with Joshua Expeditions. Prior to travel, they design a VBS "pop up" for students ages 5-12. The ministry is dedicated to providing Bible studies for single moms and their children. Students have the opportunity to use their talents to minister to kids while learning about a different culture. They also enjoy fun activities such as whitewater rafting and relaxing on a catamaran. HCS is excited for students to glorify the Lord as they bless those they minister to and deepen their faith.

Homecoming

Homecoming at HCS is a semi-formal social held on campus. Students grades 9-12 attend and celebrate with dancing, games, and snacks.

Prom

Prom is held each year, and is a fun time for students to celebrate school memories and accomplishments with their peers during dinner and dancing.  Games, senior tributes made by the juniors, and presentation of senior gifts are just a few of the engaging events that take place at HCS Prom.

HCS Spirit Week

Spirit Week

Spirit Week is a fun week at HCS. Students get to dress in their favorite costumes and attire to match each day's theme. The dress code varies from Superhero Day to Crazy Hair Day to Pajama Day, and more! Students love participating and brightening the dark winter days with their smiles and laughter during Spirit Week.
